The definition "a Southern term for snack cracker" is an overly simplified definition of the word "nab". More specifically, nab refers to a sandwich cracker (usually with peanut butter or sometimes cheese) that is packaged by a commercial company such as Nabisco or Keebler. Each package is a single snack - 4 to 6 crackers - wrapped in cellaphane. A pack of nabs and an RC Cola make a great snack on a hot humid day in the Mississippi Delta. While peanut butter between 2 Ritz crackers may resemble a nab, it's only peanut butter and crackers (and not nabs) since it's not manufactured and packaged like nabs are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.49.225.178 (talk) 02:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
