Leading American structural engineer. Noted projects include Los Angeles City Hall, the Washington D.C. Convention Center, the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the Skirball Jewish Cultural Center in Los Angeles, the J. Paul Getty Museum Villa, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.[1],[2] Former member of the advisory panel of the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment.[3] Past Chair of the Vision 2000 Committee and the Seismology Committee for the Structural Engineers Association of California. Past Chair of Project Restore, a non-profit organization dedicated to the historic restoration and revitalization of historic facilities in Los Angeles.[4],[5] Recipient of two Design-Build Institute of America Public Sector Building merit awards in 2005.[6]
