[edit] History
N.U.T.E. was formed in Wellington in 1999 by Andrew Lyon and Boost Ventury. The band was originally a side project of the experimental breakcore group Creassault, but quickly became a full time project. In 2000, N.U.T.E. headlined the inaugural installment of the Darkness Gathering, an annual dark-end music festival; and went on to perform at the next three years of the festival. With the 2001 release of their E.P Another Lost One, and the Drill 3" single and Drone Function EP in 2003, N.U.T.E.’s music received acclaim throughout New Zealand’s gothic and industrial scenes. On the back of heavy DJ rotation, they cemented their mass appeal with extensive live appearances throughout 2003. In 2004 the band relocated to Auckland and in 2005, the band released their full-length album CyborgResistance. 2006 brought with it the first international N.U.T.E. shows, including the Limelight in ,UK. Upon return to New Zealand Drew Lyon (by now the only original member left) started work on the new album. 2007 N.U.T.E appear on the Negative Impact V2 Compilation with alternative version of "IntoU".
