[edit] Changing a page title

I saw your question on Sango123's talk page. All you have to do is click on the move button at the top of the page. Enter the new name in the to new title field and leave a reason. Howabout1 Talk to me! 23:04, July 28, 2005 (UTC)

However, if you haven't been editing at Wikipedia for too long, that feature will not be available. Please tell me which page you'd like to rename and why. Thanks, Sango123 00:09, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
That is a question I wish I knew the answer to my friend. Happy editing. Howabout1 Talk to me! 01:06, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
Double redirects: How about redirecting both pages to the end page? (e.g. - if yellow redirects to blue, which redirects to red, then redirect yellow to blue.) Regards, Sango123 13:10, July 29, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Digimon categories

I realize you were just trying to help with all the Digimon entries you worked on, but the main "Digimon" category is very large. This is why I removed many Digimon from the main category into sub-categories. It was a lot of hard work to do this, and now you have re-added those Digimon to the main category. Could you please help me remove them? Also, it is my intent to have all the X-Digimon in their own sub-category.

Yes that was me above, sorry about forgetting to sign. Let's try to co-ordinate a bit before we remove all the Digimon that are already sorted by level from the main category. As for your question about higher Digimon, let's leave them in the main category for now. CanadaGirl 23:08, 21 August 2005 (UTC) Also, let's leave armor Digimon out for now as well 23:17, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

Also, this would be a good place in which to co-ordinate Wikiproject:Digimon_Systems_Update CanadaGirl 23:25, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi both 70.105.254.193 and 71.241.195.161 (mostly 71.241.195.161) have been messing with Digimon articles by removing Japanese version information from them (Mostly from the Frontier character pages). I have been hard at work at reverting them and making some improvements to them to help prevent from this kind of problem to happen again as easily (I partly agree with some of the things they have been doing with the exception of removing the Japanese Character names and the Attack names from the Japanese version). Anyway I could use some help since I am doing some busy things in my life. From 24.20.153.45

[edit] Duke Nukem Forever cancelled?

I undid your change of putting DNF in the cancelled games category. I can't find any thing on the web saying it was cancelled, if this is true you would need to provide a source. Qutezuce 22:23, 25 November 2005 (UTC)

Unverified rumour has it that DNF was named after the amount of time it'll take to produce. :-) Korax1214 15:59, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure

Why did you remove Category:Indiana Jones and Category:LucasArts games from this article? --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 19:03, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Actually, why have you been removing Category:LucasArts games from a bunch of articles? --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 19:06, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
You are probably right about Category:Indiana Jones, but I think that Category:LucasArts games is a useful aid for users even so. Since they may be looking for Lucasarts games in general. In future a reason for the removal of the catagory in the edit summary or talk page would be useful. Thanks for your time.
P.S. I noticed that you imitatated my signature. I'm flattered. --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 16:59, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] CVG dates

Hello, I'd noticed you'd made several errors regarding date categories in some video game articles, so I thought I'd point it out. Games are to be categorized per year they have a release anywhere, for example GiFTPiA was released in 2003 in Japan, and will have a 2005 release in Europe, so it gets listed in both Category:2003 computer and video games and Category:2005 computer and video games. I hope this helps. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 05:56, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Invitation to the Forgotten Realms project

Hi,

We are working on a Forgotten Realms Project to map Toril (mostly Faerûn, at the present). Since you contributed quite a lot on a Forgotten Realms-specific entry, I'd like to invite you to join the project, so we could improve the “Mapping the Realms” project.

The goal is to create a sort of World Factbook for the Realms. This means:

  • A consistent content
  • Use of templates
  • Entries should be limited to “sovereign places”: states and free cities, as well a moderately-inhabited place such as the Western Highlands.

On top of this, we also plan to cover Lost Empires, such as Pelvuria or Imaskar and, of course, Netheril

Main contributors are presently

If you know some other person who would be interested, feel free to forward the invitation!

Feel free to take a look. We hope to see you soon mapping the Realms with us! Reply to David Latapie 12:54, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] New Vandalism in Digimon

[edit] Web-screenshot tag

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. I've noticed you've changed some tags on images (such as Image:Kudamon1.jpg) to {{web-screenshot}}. This tag is not meant to be used for images that came from Web pages; it's meant to be used for images of Web pages (such as Image:Google screenshot.png, for example). I'm in the middle of weeding out inappropriate images from the Screenshots of web pages category. I've been doing it for three or four days now, and I've just reached the letter L. It's a lot of work, so I thought I'd just let you know what the {{web-screenshot}} tag is meant for so I don't have to redo this work in the future. If you have any questions, please feel free to post a message on my talk page. —Bkell 07:49, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ryo Akiyama

I don't know whether Ryo is a pertinent character to have the {{Digimon02}} template on hispage (I was actually planning to remove him from the template). Whilehe appears in 02, he was never even *named*, nor did he play a key role in the plot. Circeus 15:52, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] -{{4LA}} +{{4LC}}

Hi, I've been working for days orphaning this template, strawpoll at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages)/Disambiguation subcategories#TLA poll, as part of the Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2006 January 17#Template:4LA process. I understand that not everybody agrees. (Heck, I don't think it was the best outcome, either.) Is there some reason why you are changing them back from {{disambig}}? Could you please hold off on making such changes until everything is settled in their new places? (I'll watch for your answer here.)

--William Allen Simpson 16:44, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Okay. N. Harmonik 16:45, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

I've run across a number of your edits now, and see that in some cases you were absolutely correct (AFAICT)! Thank you! However, the new templates are {{2LC}}, {{3LC}}, {{4LC}}. OK?

So, here's a rule of thumb:

  • If it has "(disambiguation)" in the name, it has to be looked at carefully, all the What links here, the history, everything. It most likely will end up in {{disambig}}. I've been working on those, and that's why my initial objections. Believe me, you don't want to worry about these, as it usually involves redirects, and editing 3 or 4 pages simultaneously to figure it out.
  • If it is plain (XX, Xx, X#, XXX, Xxx, XXXX, Xxxx), and has a list of links, that's when I'm using {{2LC}}, {{3LC}}, {{4LC}}. But only those with lists! (The category is "Lists of ....")
  • If it is plain XXXX, but has no links, or only a single link to a "(disambiguation)" page, then it gets Category:4-letter acronyms. But not the 2 or 3, because they are already in standardized lists instead of categories (for example, List of all single-letter-single-digit combinations).
--William Allen Simpson 17:57, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pokemon species

Why are you removing these categories from pages like Stantler and Mightyena? These are Pokémon species, are they not? If you want to refine the category into subcategories of Pokémon species, that would be good. We've been battling the 202.152.162.215 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) and 202.152.162.216 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) category vandal. Are your edits helping? Hu 14:41, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

True but they're already in subcategories of their respective types so it doesn't make much sense to put them under the Pokémon species category. And besides, it would have to be done for all Pokémon.N. Harmonik 17:10, 25 Janurary 2006 (UTC)
Well, yes, that's basically what I mean. Where they are in subcategories of Pokemon species, that is good. Where they are not categorised as Pokemon, I put them into Pokemon species and leave it to the experts to refine the categorization. But they should not be classed as fictional species or fictional animals, because the Pokemon species category is already a subcategory of fictional animals and Pokemon is more specific or Pokemon subspecies is even more specific. Thanks! Hu 17:54, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Safecracker edits

Please stop adding the 'Computer Game' category to the Safecracker Pinball page. As stated in the revision history for that page, you are confusing "Safecracker, the video game" with "Safecracker, the pinball machine", as they are two different things. This is the third time (at least) that we've had to pull your edit. Thanks for your help in this. SpikeJones 17:01, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Actually, there is a video game of a pinball machine called "Safecracker" (I have it on my hard drive); hence, perhaps, the confusion here? Korax1214 16:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Digimon categories

I'm not so sure it's a good idea to make so many needless Digimon categories. There's only so many views you can do, and a lot of them just sub-categorize to a cat with only a hand full of articles. [edit] Your edits to Hippocrates and use of edit summaries

I noticed that you twice deleted a sentence of Hippocrates in the Theory section. I reverted your first edit as I saw no reason for this deletion, and you removed it again. I didn't understand your reasoning until just a moment ago when I noticed the redundancy in the paragraph.

I think this process could have been made much easier if you had described your thinking in the Edit Summary box before you saved each edit. All you would have had to write was "redundant" and I (and other users) would have understood immediatly. I encourage you to try summarizing each of your edits so that other users may understand why you did what you did. It makes it easier for all of us. You may read Help:Edit summary if you want clarification on this topic, or you may message me on my talk page. Thanks! -- Rmrfstar 00:29, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PC games

Hi. When categorizing computer games, do not put anything in Category:PC games. It is only for very obscure, unique or unknown personal computer type platforms (if you really don't know the platform, don't fill anything in). Typically a PC game means Windows. Use Category:Windows games instead please. If you check the top of the category it lists a variety of alternatives. Keep up the good work! Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 10:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright tags

Hi. Could you please not remove the image copyright tags from screenshots, please? Thanks. --StuartBrady (Talk) 12:42, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

You shouldn't remove the tags, simply because they are copyright tags. It's not about categories. All images must have a copyright tag, or they get deleted. Period. So basically, you're making a whole bunch of images be candidates for deletion. --StuartBrady (Talk) 20:44, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure I'm with you... By 'put' do you mean 'create'? I.e. are you suggesting creating new templates, like I did with {{Atari-2600-game-screenshot}}, and using those? That would be okay, AFAIK. Or did you mean what you said... apply the template to the category itself? — I don't think that's allowed, and in one or two cases it wouldn't be accurate (as there are a few free screenshots). --StuartBrady (Talk) 16:41, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I think that's fine. There's no reason that it has to go in that specific category, as far as I know. --StuartBrady (Talk) 17:04, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Can you tell me why you changed the NoRightsReserved template on the Shroob image to a Fair Use template? Bowsy (review me!) 19:11, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Free vs copyrighted

I reverted your editto Image:Pokeballicon.gif because although this image is based on the Pokémon series, the actual drawing is an original work of Hope(N Forever). Wikipedia:Fair use does not apply here, so please do not tag this image with a fair use tag. If you have any questions about this, please just drop me a note. —Remember the dot (talk) 02:36, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

In other words, yes, this is a Poké ball, but the drawing was made by a user and is not based another drawing of a Poké ball, so the copyright was held by the person who made the drawing. That person, Hope(N Forever), chose to give up their copyright over this image when they uploaded it to Wikipedia. It's important to get the license tagging right, because we have much stricter rules about unfree images than free ones. —Remember the dot (talk) 02:57, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

I noticed theres a Revelations: The Demon Slayer and a Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible page, which is the same game. I saw that you worked with the Last Bible page and was wondering if we should merge the pages or what. I also noticed that the page title for revelations is A Demon Slayer instead of The Demon Slayer (i believe this due to my lack of paying attention), so the redirect is The Demon Slayer. That should be reversed. But why i came to you was because you changed the title on the last bible page, so you have that power, whereas i do not. id greatly appreciate your help with this little fix up ^_^ Evaunit666 01:46, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request to replace 2 images

I would like to replace the main images of Tiff and Tuff, please. Two reasons:

1. It's better if the image contained solo characters. 2. If it contained multiple characters, it might be complicated to see who's the main character in the image.

I promise I will not upload any more images than this -- 2 is quite a very limited number for using screenshots. I will also put up fair use rationales for both.

Thank you. Jonghyunchung 18:18, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan ending.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan ending.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 04:57, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

(Gives a high-five for helping out with the article) I got a little more details about the game, which I will add. Also, I'll change the picture, and place one of a smaller size. God Bless! '-' Superkirbyartist 20:08, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the article Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you. --MrStalker (talk) 18:26, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi there, I also would like to say that although your revert was completely helpful, constructive, and appropriate, your edit summary on the other hand was not.
