Ný batterí was the second single off Sigur Rós's album Ágætis byrjun. It was released in May 2000. The first track is an extended brass intro for "Ný batterí", and the third and fourth tracks appear on the Angels of the Universe soundtrack.
The song was also covered by the New Jersey post-hardcore band, Thursday.
