Nõmme is one of the 8 administrative districts (linnaosa in Estonian) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It has a population of 39,400 (2006) and covers an area of 28 km² (11 mi²). The district mostly consists of older private houses and is sometimes known as the "forest city."

Nõmme has a station on the Elektriraudtee rail line.

Earlier Nõmme was a town of its own in the beginning of the Soviet occupation (1940), unified to Tallinn and not restituted until today.
