[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Codexwars.jpg
Image:Codexwars.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Merge from "Jane Ross"
In 2005 it was proposed that the Mytharria-related page Jane Ross be deleted or merged into this page. The article was simply the backstory of a single player of Mytharria, which failed the notability guidelines by a long stretch.
The AfD debate is here. There was no support for a standalone "Jane Ross" page but editors were split between outright deletion and merging into an overall Mytharria article which did not exist at the time. The Mytharria article now exists but understandably there is no useful section into which to merge such non-notable information as the backstory of a single player from three years ago.
In the circumstances and as the merge is uncontested I have "merged" the articles by redirecting "Jane Ross" to this page and including all the notable info in this article (ie none).
I appreciate this is an unconventional "merge", so would welcome others' views on whether this was the correct way to proceed. Euryalus (talk) 05:52, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "Staff and Devs" - List of player names
The list of player names under the headign "Staff and Devs" is not notable, wildly inaccurate and adds nothing to a reader's understanding of Mytharria or RPG's. The actual game creators are mentioned elsewhere in the article - the pseudonyms of players who reached a certain level in Mytharria at the time the list was compiled is more appropaiute either at the Mytharria website or somewhere like Myspace. An equivalent would be to list all Wikipedia editors in an article on Wikipedia, on the basis that they had contributed to the content at a certain point in time.
On these bases I have removed the list. Other views and opposing points of view welcome - if there is opposition to this let's discuss. Euryalus (talk) 06:41, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Counter
I can verifiably list the following staff members, having interacted with many of them during my own time as player during Mytharria: Reborn and staff member during Mytharria: Dawn's Rising, as valid contributors to Mytharria's construction:
Argus, Ash, Ashleigh, DreamWeaver, Exar Kun, Freya, Gambrinus, Gil'Glorion, Gyr, Hammerstorm, Kalen, Mercator, Myrathi, Nichtus, Poe, Racalac, Razi, Stacey, and Syzygy.
As for other staff members, I strongly suggest that they be verified by persons involved at the time, and re-added to the wiki page. Mytharria is by far the most popular of roleplay-driven UO shards, and while its initial designers (DW, Syzygy, Racalac, et al) are notable for their efforts in constructing the platform upon which Mytharria was built, there are dozens more of contributors who deserve honorable mention in its evolution. I also feel it is a disservice to Mytharria's many contributors to "clam up" the information because some of it is inaccurate, when much of it can be verified with a little effort.
As for "notable players", where to draw the line is subjective, and I'm not really focused on that.
