[edit] Mars effect tag

At Mars effect you said that you were moving the NPOV tag to the talk page, but it isn't there. Are you going to put it there? Bubba73 (talk), 04:58, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

It had been there. Not the same tag, but equivalent. Either way it seems to be there now. Put the POV tag back in if you want, but it seems to me the article is not so much POV as unfinished. Mystylplx 05:16, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The finer points of philosophy...

I would argue that if you're merely mapping "synchronicity" you're not doing anything falisfiable. You might, like Hume, observe repeated coincidences and assume that no true causation test can be applied (a problem, to be sure). Or you might take an "intermediate" skeptical stance and say "show me a purported causative mechanism" and if X and Y repeatedly accord based on it, I will accept it. Astrology (in my limited reading) has never consistently offered a causative mechanism that can be disproven. In this sense I don't think it can be falsified.

Anyhow, I think you and I might disagree on "finer points" of this sort, but agree on the larger issue: Astrology is not a science and Wikipedia should never present it as such. Cheers, Marskell 21:00, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

See if my suggested sentences work for you. Marskell 08:03, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Categories in userspace

Hi! I noticed that in your scratchpad / draft / alternative article User:Mystylplx/Validity_of_Astrology you have the categories still activated, so it's showing up in Category:Pseudoscience and a couple of others. Could I suggest that you deactivate them (by putting a colon before 'Category' in the link) until such time as the article is in the mainspace rather than the userspace? (As per WP:CG, "If you copy an article to your user namespace (for example, as a temporary draft or in response to an edit war) you should decategorize it".)
