I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

[edit] Additional tips
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
Happy Wiki-ing. —Kf4bdy talk contribs

[edit] Style notes
Hi. Just a note. On Wikipedia one should not use capitals in article names and section headings, see WP:MoS#Sections and headings for the relevant policy. I moved back Amplitude Scaling Invariance to Amplitude scaling invariance, and I fixed the capitals at The six symmetries of music article. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:50, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah someone else pointed that out to me. That actually makes my skin crawl to see a title that isn't in title case. I have read the reasoning that users don't type things in in title case. Anyway maybe one day wiki won't be case sensitive and then article titles can be in title case.
[edit] Page moves
And note that when you move a page you should use the "move" tab, and not cut&paste, as the latter loses track of the article history. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:52, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm when'd you put that move tab there. Ok so I am blind.
[edit] Kammatthana => Anussati
Hey Mystic eye - just wanted to thank you for providing a wikilink in the article Kammatthana to the article Anussati. I had no idea that the latter article existed. FWIW, I've done some revamping of Anussati; if you're familiar with such practices, perhaps you could add your own knowledge as well? Regardless, I appreciate your edits. I wish you well, Larry Rosenfeld (talk) 18:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Feminimenimenism
Hah ha! But seriously though,
Yeah, that paragragh on the Dora the explorer article was all me. I didn't mean to imply that there were disadvantages to being a girl. (There are but same in equal numbers to boys.) I was just trying to fill up the article. Not the article in generel. Dora and Boots' sections. A few months ago they started out ridiculously short compared to Swiper's part, so I made it a mission to put in as many facts as possible and those possibilities are limitless.
HELL NO!!! You got me all wrong. I meant that, for a girl her age, she never seemed to hesitate to get her hands dirty or help others out regardless of how "humiliating" the task if at all. It's a well known fact(at least by me) that interest in boys, whining and simping (whatever it means to "simp"), and even menstruation don't make up a girl. It's traits of a girl, but tha's not the point so I digress... Dora has never done either of these things, (especially the menstruating...) but without those traits she seems hardly distinguishable as a girl. Just compare her to Diego or visa versa. They are almost exactly alike whereas it could even be said that Diego is somewhat femine. *Snicker* Not gonna add that one to his article.
Thanks for saving the original. I don't plan to put them back but it's still just good to know words that I sat down for hours to type are still here...ThegreatWakkorati (talk) 19:09, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
