The Kamehameha Wave ("Turtle Destruction Wave") is the attack of Son Goku and other members of the Turtle school in the anime Dragon Ball Z. The attacker unleashes a concentrated beam of pure energy with destructive force. The beam was first used by Goku in the original Dragon Ball series as a child after witnessing Master Roshi put out a burning castle. The attack is traditionally performed in a mabu like stance and by bringing one's hands together to cup the energy one is going to gather for the attack to one's side. Then the attacker thrusts her hands straight forwards shouting "Kame - Hame - Haa!"

The Japanese word "kame" means turtle, which is not surprising when Master Roshi's school is the Turtle school. "Hame" means plight and "ha" can mean either edge (of a sword), leaf, tooth, or school. So a few possible meanings can be derived, such as "Plight of the Turtle School" or "Turtles Edge" or even with tooth and edge the "Turtle's Bite".
