Talk:Mysteria Film Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page has been tagged for speedy deletion because of "blatant advertising", but I think it makes more sense to fix the article than to just delete it. What particular part of it is the advertising? Is it the biographies? Then delete those paragraphs or shorten them and make the page a stub. Is it the fact that this company does not have enough notability for Wikipedia, and therefore it must be an ad? Then make it a stub concentrating more on the notable aspects (the movie being currently written) rather than the biographies. Even if this page is deletion-worthy now, it can be bettered. 141.154.30.64 (talk) 20:19, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
I am not a member of Mysteria Film Group. Therefore, I am in accordance with the Business Guidelines. I provided this information because this company, like Cyan Worlds, are involved in the Myst franchise. In this particular case, Mysteria Film Group is producing a film of one of the Myst books and is therefore referenced on that book's entry, Myst: The Book of Ti'ana. Removing this site would leave a gap in the overall story of the Myst franchise - especially since Rand Miller has given Mysteria the blessing to continue this project. This topic was recently moved to a reference to the Film section of the general Myst topic because it was cited as being solely about a premature film (referencing WP:NFF). However, this is about a production company as well as their film project. The legitimacy of the Mysteria Film Group has already been established above.
Again - please allow time for this topic to grow. Robert The Rebuilder (talk) 14:04, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
After adding information about a second film project by the Mysteriacs, I discovered that the information was reverted, cited as 'not enough references'. Please indicate the appropriate Wikipedia guideline that states that two independent references are not sufficient. Robert The Rebuilder (talk) 16:45, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
