Mystic Prophecy is a power metal band from Germany. They have been described as sounding like US-power metal, similar to bands such as Iced Earth (due to the riffing and use of drumming), but still without losing the melodies found in European power metal.
The band was formed by Valley's Eve bandmates R.D. Liapakis and Martin Albrecht. Gus G. was recommended to them by David T. Chastain. He played all guitars on the three first albums, but left in 2005 to spend more time on his other band Firewind.
Satanic Curses, their fifth album, was released in Europe through Massacre Records on October 23, 2007, and in the U.S. via Locomotive Records on November 11.
On April 19th the official website changed from MysticProphecy.com to MysticProphecy.net.
