[edit] Just Wondering

There is a M. Edison that works for Associated Press. Are you her? EDIT: Silly me, I could have just read your profile.Moyopic 07:29, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hiya Myra!

I see that you are using your spare time well. Haven't got that Pulitzer Prize yet? Image:Gen_pulitzer.jpg‎ Evedev 05:29, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Could I enlist your help?

I have written this photographer's biography here Daniel Colegrove. You may or may not remember me however we worked together at the AP. I know you had done some research on him and would like to invite you to add to his biography. I have a little knowledge about his war coverage but as I suspect you know the issue was buried in litigation (and may prove to make Mr. Colegrove very famous in the future).

Would it be appropriate to bring this up here in his biography? (meaning the names of the other photojournalist and outlets). Moyopic (talk) 01:08, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

  • I looked at the article, it is indeed a good start. As far as Daniel is concerned anything you say about him is okay as long it is true.

I do have a lot of information all of is obtainable. I just can't be the one to bring it up because 1 the risk of being sued again 2 contempt of court (first amendment won't cover me) and 3 since then, I have also coming know him personally. I am probably the wrong person to add to his biography. There are a lot of references out there too but it is all pretty old and not much of it made it to the Internet.

I do remember you :) Myraedison (talk) 03:44, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Editorial

Hello. I saw your comments under "This is an Important Page" on the editorial article's Talk page, and it made me wonder somewhat whether the existing article is altogether satisfactory for a global audience. It's certainly greatly US-centric as it stands (every single newspaper named is American) but that specific problem could be fixed by adding more examples. What concerns me rather more is the underlying assumption by American editors of the page that there is a rigid "code" of separation between news and editorial. That is simply not the case here in the UK, where a front-page news story (in the tabloids, anyway) will often directly attack (for example) the Prime Minister. Most people here think it is acceptable for a news story in the Sun to start: "Bungling Gordon Brown blew it again last night", even if they don't agree with it.
