Sholto,

Thank you for editing the additional information I added to Myron’s page. This was my first attempt on Wikipedia and I was reluctant to change the content, so I added the new information below. You did a nice job integrating the material with your edit. Myron has reviewed his page and seems pleased with the information presented. His only edit suggestion was to add "Rational Descriptions, Decisions and Designs” to the reference section. Leaders100 21:44, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alfred Noble Prize

Sholto,

The list of past award recipients on American Society of Civil Engineers web site lists the 1977 winner as the oldest entry. It may be difficult to find a reference for this. Myron likely has the award and citation somewhere in his home. I have seen other honors and awards tucked away on the shelves of his study.

  • Cheers again! :) (PS. if you put four ~ symbols after your message it will record your user details and time and date of entry). Sholto Maud 06:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College

Myron Tribus Professorship in Innovation

Named in honor of Thayer School's sixth dean, this Chair was endowed with gifts from Overseer Ralph E. Crump D'66 and his wife Marjorie L. Crump. The Chair was established to support, on a rotating basis, the teaching of engineering innovation as a way to encourage and foster entrepreneurism among Thayer School engineers. Dean Tribus believed passionately in teaching entrepreneurism within the curriculum. The Crumps successfully established their own company, Frigitronics, Inc., a health concern specializing in eye-care products. After selling the company in 1986, they supported the formation, through Crump Industrials, of a number of new technology-based companies.
