[edit] Reception

Myra's debut self titled album was generally well received for its danceable teen-pop genre. Though the album was met with little promotion from her label, the All Music Guide gave the album a three out if five star rating[1], also stating that the album was fun, energetic, and playful. Yahoo shopping also gave the album an expert rating of three out of five stars[2]. Despite positive feedback, the album did not do well, peaking at 47 on the Top Heatseekers chart.

[edit] Singles

Despite limited success in sales, two singles were released off of the album, both were also part of movie soundtracks.

  • "Dancing In The Street" was the first single, which was also part of Recess: School's Out film soundtrack.
  • "Miracles Happen (When You Believe)" was the second single and first to have a non-movie related video, it was also part of the The Princess Diaries film soundtrack.
