Myochama tasmanica is a bivalve mollusc of the family Myochamidae, endemic to south east Australia and northern New Zealand. It is found on coarse shelly bottoms, at depths of about 7 m.
The shell is small and of very irregular shape and proportions. Sculpture is of strong rounded concentric ridges. During its sessile stage it loses its definite sculpture and shows only haphazard growth lines. The interior of the left valve is scored with deep irregular radial grooves.
Coloration is dull white, with the interior slightly pearly.
Height is up to 12 mm, length 14 mm.
