Please could editors contributing to this article format full dates like this: [[1 January]] [[2000]]

Do not use ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd...) Linking the dates means that the date will be formatted according to individual users' preferences. As it's a UK-related article, it should be date-before-month. (Years on their own need not be linked). Thanks, JRawle (Talk) 13:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

There is no point in linking every single mention of a particular date except when it concerns significant historical events. If we look up say 1949 we should expect to find the major related events listed, not a massive but totally useless list of every single article which mentions that year. It may be relevant information that Klass auctioned off her bikini for charity, but is it really necessary to mention this three times? The whole article seems overlong and diffuse, and could do with some serious editing down. Rodparkes 06:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
