Mylavaram

Mylavaram is a village and Mandal in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Mylavaram is constituency for Andhra Pradesh state Assembly. It includes kondapalli, Ibrahimpatnam too in its jurisdiction. Mylavaram is home to a renowed Engineering college "LakiReddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering" ( http://www.lbrce.com ) supported by NRI Shri LakiReddy Bali Reddy through Lakireddy Balireddy Charitable trust. Bali Reddy was born and brought up in a neighbouring village Velvadam.
A Rotary Eye hospital is also located in mylavaram. It was built by Lakireddy Balireddy Charitable trust. Eye check ups will be done at nominal prices.
Mylavaram is famous for its rich culture and heritage in the pre-independence days. Zamindars of mylavaram are lovers of art. Till today the fort of Mylavaram exists in the heart of the town. This fort is purchased by Lakireddy Hanimi Reddy (brother of Bali Reddy).
