[edit] Notability of "Sfinx"

A tag has been placed on "Sfinx", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vgranucci 04:58, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't know how long the time between the tagging and the deletion is normally, since I'm not an administrator and cannot delete pages. According to the deletion log for your article, it was deleted about 10 minutes after I tagged it for speedy deletion, although I've seen articles last longer even without hangon. By the way, the proper place to ask questions of an editor is on their user talk page (User talk:Vgranucci), not on the user page (User:Vgranucci)Vgranucci 05:48, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 13:53, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] article quality

We appreciate your introducing articles about notable people from the Rumanian Wikipedia. Please however make some effort to correct the English of the translations. At the least, use an English-language spell-check program. The higher quality the article, the more likely people are to realise that the person is important. DGG (talk) 16:59, 2 October 2007 (UTC) Oh, well, I am doing my best. I'll try harder next time though. Mycomp 23:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cârja

Hi, and sorry about that. That bit of text confused me a bit, and I made a mistake in interpreting its original meaning - I didn't actually believe that the US prevented his return, but I rearranged the sentences and didn't notice the dichotomy. Dahn 17:24, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
