My Way is an 1997 R&B album by Usher, his second LP. It was released by LaFace Records on September 16, 1997, and featured the hit singles "You Make Me Wanna", "My Way", and "Nice and Slow". Also included is his hit duet with Monica from the Soul Food soundtrack, a cover of Midnight Star's 1983 hit "Slow Jam". Eventually selling over six million copies in the U.S. and over eight million worldwide it became his breakthrough album after his self-titled debut album's low sales. This album is Usher's shortest with only 10 songs. It went to #4 in the U.S., #13 in Canada and #16 in the UK. The singles from the album were a huge success with all the singles going to number 1 or number 2 in the U.S. and You Make Me Wanna going to number 1 in the UK giving Usher his first UK number 1.
