My Theodosia was written by Anya Seton as a "fictional interpretation of Theodosia's life". It covers Theodosia's seventeenth birthday, where she met her soon to be husband Joseph Alston and covers that time up to and including her untimely death.
The book, while a work of fiction, is richly steeped in historical fact, including Aaron Burr's time as Vice President, letters he and Theodosia wrote to each other during her marriage, and his controversial actions dueling Alexander Hamilton and working to take over Mexico naming himself as king.
The story focuses on Theodosia and her unwavering devotion to Aaron Burr, and his devotion to her. They created a world in which they were the only ones who truly mattered and where all else can fall away.
