John and Dean first met in primary school where they started making music together. After finishing school, John and Dean worked as youth workers. John later had a vision to start a Christian rock band, with the aim to be "a quality group that would be there to challenge Christians and non-believers alike"
My Spoon has now become a full time band, and have released 2 EPs and a full length album. After a few years of not having a permanent bass player, touring bassist Abhi joined the band full time.[1]
