My Secret Unicorn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My Secret Unicorn is a series of children's books written by Linda Chapman. The books feature the adventures of Lauren and her unicorn, Twilight, and their friends. Chapman got the inspiration for the series while nannying for a pony-mad seven-year-old in 1994, and in 1998 started writing for Working Partners Ltd. Since then she has had around sixty books published (many internationally) under various pseudonyms and under her own name.

The My Secret Unicorn series, in chronological order, are:

  • The Magic Spell: The first adventure with Lauren and Twilight!
  • Dreams Come True: Lauren meets her new friend Mel and saves her from a fire.
  • Flying High: Lauren's friend Jessica is so unhappy that she runs away from home!
  • Starlight Surprise: something spooky is going on at the lake. Lauren and Twilight will find out what it is
  • Stronger than Magic: Twilight suddenly becomes sick....is this the end of the adventures with Lauren and Twilight?
  • A Special Friend: a new pony called Moonshine is born. Lauren is sure that he is a unicorn, but he needs a friend to reveal his secret......
  • A Winter Wish: Lauren's friends come to stay for Christmas, but things do not go quite as planned!
  • A Touch of Magic: Lauren's brother Max so into skateboarding that he forgot about his dog, Buddy.
  • Snowy Dreams: Twilight might loose his magic powers!...
  • Twilight Magic: Lauren makes friends with a new pony at the stables, but someone does not want that to happen!
  • Friends Forever: Lauren cannot wait to go to camp with Mel, but when they get there, things all go wrong!!
  • Rising Star: the pony at the stables is a unicorn but he must learn how to use his powers
  • Moonlight Journey
  • Keeper of Magic
  • Starry Skies

These books are about a 9 year-old girl named Lauren and her pony Twilight but only he, Lauren, and an old lady named Miss Fontana know that he really is a magical unicorn.

She has also written 3 other series: Stardust (8-12year olds), Not Quite A Mermaid (Young readers) and Unicorn School (Young readers). All are highly commended by fans and publishers. She has most recently written a book with Steve Cole called Guenie Us!
