'My Robot Friend' is an electronic dance music producer/performer from New York.
Falling somewhere between the live energy of Devo and the creative, refined performance art of Laurie Anderson.
Also known as Howard Robot, My Robot Friend has appeared on Rolling Stone magazine's Hot List and has showcased his robot singing/songwriting abilities around the world on stages, opening for luminaries such as the Scissor Sisters, Le Tigre and Herbert.
In November 2004, My Robot Friend's 'Hot Action!' made its emergence from New York City's electronic underground. The album spent several months in the CMJ charts and hit the top 20 electronic albums in iTunes international sales charts.
My Robot Friend's second album 'Dial 0' was released by Soma Records in 2006. The style of the individual tracks in the album varies.
My Robot Friend's third album 'Robot High School' will be released by Soma Records early 2008. The title track is released as a free download.
Tracks have appeared on compilations on influential labels like Mute, Ladomat, Soundslike and Ministry of Sound. Remixes have come from The Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Matmos, Steril and Zombie Nation.
