My Rich Friends (abbreviated as MRF) is an American industrial rock band originally formed in Burbank, CA in 2000 by Marc Jackson. producer, singer, songwriter and sole instrumentalist, Jackson is the creator and producer of all the music for the band. My Rich Friends sound combines heavily effected synthesizers with driving guitars and the musical style ranges from metal to industrial rock with an electro rock influence.
In 2006, the song "Everything You Wanted" was licensed to HBO to be featured in Dane Cook's Tourgasm appearing in the final episode of the television series. The track played under a simulated dogfight battle between Dane Cook and his three comic friends, Robert Kelly, Jay Davis and Gary Gulman. Later that year, the song appeared on the soundtrack for the show, released by Playtone and Rhino Records, January 23rd 2007.
