"My Flying Car" is a single by The Nodd off the album Where The Rubber Meets The Road. The Nodd says that the sound of this song is best described as blues, funk, and jazz influenced original rock. Heavily influenced by Classic Rock, this singles follows Pretty Blue Lips as the band's second single.
According to Sammy Mack in his article about the Nodd Third Story Recording, Dug recorded the single with his shoes off, rocking onto the sides of his feet as he sings: "He alternates from hand in pockets to arms crossed. His voice is loud and full, his lips pull back from his teeth, and he holds an impossibly long, impossibly loud note. It fills the room like a siren."
