[edit] Rabbi

In an article on Itche Goldberg you capitalized rabbi, when a specific rabbi was not mentioned. If it is an individual person being referred to as a rabbi (such as "Rabbi Levine") it would be correct. But, as a class of people the word should not be in capitals. For instance, "General Smith is one of the generals." mwinog2777

Ah! Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't thought it through fully for rabbis; your example does make it a lot clearer though. Cheers, CmdrObot 17:57, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Could you please tell me why you keep transcluding pages in the Wikipedia mainspace here? JDtalk 18:44, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Check the discussion of this article. Totally plagiarized. mwinog2777

[edit] Itche Goldberg

Please provide a reliable source for Mr. Goldberg's death. User:Zoe|(talk) 20:11, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Ah. Never mind. I found one - [1]. User:Zoe|(talk) 20:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jared Kushner

The Wikipedia guidelines for bio of a living person are not met with unverifiable/unsubstantiated statements. I refer to the comments on his admission to Harvard. If we cannot agree, I propose we go to Wiki conflict resolution: "Step 6: Turn to others for help" Thanx,Mwinog2777 (talk) 03:28, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure which statement you're referring to, but the statements discussed on the talk page all seem to have appropriate reliable sources regarding Jared Kushner. Alansohn (talk) 03:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bob Knight edit

The reason I removed your addition, even though cited, was that it merely gave someone's negative opinion of Knight, rather than recounting any specific incident as the other entries in the section do. Also, the source was difficult to read. The text was small and, upon being zoomed, became grainy. →Wordbuilder (talk) 04:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] McGovern photo

Regarding the photo at Ray McGovern, I think this photo is simply far too large for an article (if you look at images at the top of other bio articles, the photographs are basically never that large). McGovern is indeed a forceful speaker as you say, however I don't think that should have any effect on how we size the photo of him. I'm glad you were able to provide that photo of him, though perhaps at some point we will be able to find another one. I didn't recognize him at first (for example compare with this photo) and I assume it is because McGovern has apparently undergone cancer treatment. Perhaps some of the pre-treatment photos of him out there are not copyrighted and could be used in the article, but yours obviously works for now. I do think we should keep the size as is, but if you disagree maybe you can bring it up on the article talk page and see if anyone weighs in.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 20:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
