user warnings

Anyone someone drops the n-bomb in vandalism, don't be afraid to whip out the steeper warnings, even if it is their first no-no. Great work on reverting the Marshall University article, BTW. youngamerican (wtf?) 18:37, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

You're doing great. The best advice I can give when vandal whacking is wear a thick skin, don't let your emotions get to you, and use your gut. youngamerican (wtf?) 02:02, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Barnstar thanks

Thank you, I almost didn't notice since most people leave them on my talk page. Thanks anyway and keep up the good work! GDonato (talk) 16:11, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

I didn't see any on your talk page, but did notice an awards section on your main page so I added it there. Sorry about that, I'll add them to your talk page next time mjwilson (Talk/Contrib) 16:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
No, no, I prefer them there. I move the ones on my talk page there. You done the better thing, it's just most people don't think of that. Thanks! GDonato (talk) 20:28, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Ticker

The ticker on wikinews relies on some JavaScript code from Wikinews. It wouldnt be possible to implement here without putting the code in this sites MediaWiki:Common.js. Knowing the rules and regulations here, that's not going to happen. And it definately wont get on the main page - it's too strict what does go on. Sorry! Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 21:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but it would only be visible for you. You can put the code in your personal JS, but other have to do the same to see the ticker. Sorry! Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 21:24, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Private foundation

Thanks for the globalization tag on Private foundation. It made me search to see if commonwealth countries have them as well as the USA. I made some changes to allow elaboration of Canadian and Australian law, but I don't know how forthcoming such contributions shall be in the next few months.EECavazos 02:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Maher Arar

I have partially reviewed the article and left comments on the talk page. This article is fit for GA, but I have requested a second opinion. In the meanwhile you can improve the article using the suggestions i have left on the article's talk page.Bless sins 20:15, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Editor review

Thanks for having requested an editor review. A month has passed since it has been posted there, and it has been archived. You can find it at Wikipedia:Editor review/Mwilso24/Archive 1, where you may read last minute additions. We would really appreciate your help in reviewing a random editor. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:27, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

United States Africa Command

Hi, wanted to ask about what exact improvements this article needs. It's already got a large number of wikilinks and is quite long, given that the command is new. Also, what do you think needs to be cleaned up? Thanks Buckshot06 14:17, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kuc logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kuc logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:01, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Maher Arar

You nominated Maher Arar as good article candidate. I initially gave it a review asking for second opinion. Second (and third) opinions have been provided, outlining several problems with the article. Please refer to Talk:Maher_Arar#GA_review and Talk:Maher_Arar#2nd_opinion_from_User:Canadian_Paul for what needs to be done.

If you think you can improve the article, I'm more than willing to wait and see how things turn out. If you'd like to improve the article at a much later time, I'll fail it for now, and you can put it up for nomination when you feel you have addressed the concerns. If you have any further question please leave a message behind on my talk. Thanks.Bless sins (talk) 18:48, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
