Jazz pianist Michael Weinstein (born September 29, 1968) has recorded and performed with many renowned artists including Mike Mason (producer for Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and the Back Street Boys), Michael Hunter Ochs (award-winning songwriter for Josh Groban) and with Austin-based singer and songwriter, Karen Mal.
After touring Europe, including performing in Austria at the Leopoldskron Castle (The Von Trapp Family House from Sound of Music), as well as performing throughout Germany, Czechoslovakia, Greece and Switzerland, Michael returned to New York to resume recording in the studio, as well as to focus on original compositions. Michael recently worked with widely acclaimed vocalist and recording artist, AmesEla, whose new album features a unique blend of jazz, blues, electronic and urban pop.
Currently, Michael is recording his latest jazz piano album along with keyboardist/producer Mark Alexander. Michael's single, "Don't let me be lonely tonight" as well as many of his other recordings are available on iTunes, Amazon, Yahoo and more.
Michael is also a veteran online marketer and technology entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience growing companies and currently leads the Internet Division of a direct marketing company that markets products through the Internet, catalogs, direct mail and television. As Chief Internet Officer, Michael is responsible for driving web site traffic and increasing Internet revenue, as well as ensuring effective online creative development and execution for over 100 websites that offer thousands of consumer products ranging from collectibles to horticulture to cosmetics and general merchandise.
Michael is also the founder and CEO of Primary Systems, Inc., a leading Internet marketing agency that helps companies increase their online revenue.
Prior to that, Michael served as the Vice President of Technology for a software development firm and prior to that, was the Director of IT and Senior Programmer/Systems Analyst for a major medical equipment manufacturing company.
He is on several advisory boards, a member of the Technology Executives Networking Group, Information Systems Security Association, Connecticut Venture Group and a mentor in the FastTrack Emerging Ventures Program in the Connecticut Technology Council.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's Degree in Management Engineering from Long Island University and is an MBA candidate in Technology Management at the New York Institute of Technology.
Michael lives in New York where he enjoys playing jazz piano, holds a Second Degree Black Belt in the World Tae Kwon Do Association and is an avid golfer.
