[edit] Summary
Here is the elongated justification since a retarded BetacommandBot came along and deleted this!
[edit] Summary
1. No free equivalent. There is no free equivalent to this picture, and no digital instance will ever be created as the cards are out of print.
2. Respect for commercial opportunities. The
3. (a) Minimal usage. This is a single instance of many of the same type of card and is specifically used to illustrate the differences in graphic qualities of the TYPE of card itself. (b) Minimal extent of use. A portion of the card would not suffice when the purpose of the image is to describe the entire card.
4. Previous publication. Content was previously published as cardboard trading cards
5. Content. Non-free content meets general Wikipedia content requirements and is encyclopedic.
6. Media-specific policy. This falls under the image use policy, however no item in either the allowed, nor denied image list applies to it. However, the closest thing is cover art, and the most important property is that this image itself is provided for the explicit depiction of the item itself, as it is used as an example other other items of the same type (much the same as if you were putting a picture of a cup and a bowl in an article for differentiating the differences, which are not adequately described by text alone)
7. One-article minimum. This image is used in, and relevant to, only one article
8. Significance. Omission of the specific depiction of this card renders description inadequate at conveying the differences between different card types.
9. Restrictions on location. Only used in the article.
10. Image description page. The image or media description page contains the following:
▪ (a) Attribution of the source of the material and, if different from the source, of the copyright holder.
▪ Image bears the following copyrights: (c) 1995 DC Comics and Marvel Character, Inc. All rights Reserved. DC Logo (c) DC Comics. Marvel Logo (c) Marvel Characters, Inc. Spider-Man is TM Marvel Characters, Inc. SuperMan is TM DC Comics. Card was produced and distributed by Fleer/Skybox International.
▪ (b) A copyright tag that indicates which Wikipedia policy provision is claimed to permit the use. Applied
▪ (c) The name of each article in which fair use is claimed for the item: Marvel Vs DC Cards
