MV Island Sky is a new Intermediate Class ferry announced by BC Ferries. The ship is currently under construction at Vancouver Shipyards in North Vancouver, British Columbia, with delivery expected in the summer of 2008. It will operate on the Earl's Cove-Saltery Bay route, which is currently being served by the Queen of Tsawwassen. The passenger section of this ship was built at the WMG shipyards in Esquimalt, while the engines and hull were assembled at WMG Norh Vancouver drydock.
