The MV Ilala is a steamer plying the waters of Lake Malawi, making a weekly run from its home port of Monkey Bay in the South, via Chilumba, Nkhata Bay, the isolated Likoma Island and occasional stops in the Iringa region of Tanzania.
It was named after Ilala, the initial burial place of David Livingstone.
