[edit] DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Australian Passport, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Australian ePassport-Cover.jpeg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Australian ePassport-Cover.jpeg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sue Anne 02:42, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Back of back cover.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Back of back cover.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ap High Court Building.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ap High Court Building.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. You restored the PD-release template to the above image but did not provide information on the copyright holder releasing the rights (indeed it appears on the original page that the image is still copyrighted). As noted, being freely available for download is not equivalent to being released into the public domain. This image may be fair use, or it may have been released into the public domain under Indian laws regarding works of art: please look into this matter and tag the image accordingly. [edit] Satellite picture duplication

Hi Muzi,

There's no need to add an external link to a Google Maps image if the coords template is already being used. Another thing to keep an eye out for when using that template is putting a "-" symbol before the degrees if you've already specified south. Two negatives make a positive, and so the location ends up being in the northern hemisphere. I've fixed the ones for the Government House articles for Sydney and Perth, but it'd be great if you could fix up the rest. Cheers! - Gobeirne 21:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] geolinks-AU-streetscale template

Hi Muzi,

Although the links to the WikiMapia, Google Maps and Multimap work, the main "Maps and aerial photos" link is still doing the double negative thing (a negative latitude plus a south equals the north), as is the same link from the coordinates in the top right of the article. This needs to be fixed, but I'm not the one to do it! Good luck :) - Gobeirne 18:29, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Category for The Pavillion

Hi Muzi, I note your removal of Vermont's Pavilion from the official residences of U.S. governors. Vermont's governors have had living apartments in the Pavilion since the late 1980s. They have been expanded twice since. The article clearly states the building's history, and evolution, and acknowledges it differs from other Governor's Mansions. I don't believe the definition however is so narrow to exclude it. Please share your comments. I will not immediately revert. Thanks for your thoughts and time. CApitol3 16:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Raj Bhavan (Srinagar)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Raj Bhavan (Srinagar), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://jkrajbhawan.nic.in/rajbhawan%20overview/background.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 19:48, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hyderabad house

Hi Muzi, it was i who did the de-wikifying the links, since its a convention on Wikipedia to only link it only the first time its mentioned, i'm sure you must be aware of it.

I was wondering if you could add more information on it, since you have access to much more information than us, mere mortals. A picture of the palace is woefully missing from the article. :)Randhirreddy 15:54, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

yeah i know it was a bot and not you. You only corrected some text on the subject. Randhirreddy 16:41, 2 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Randhirreddy (talkcontribs)

[edit] Coat of arms of Africa

I wish to thank you for fixing the Coat of arms of Africa template links in all the articles. That must have been a tremendous job. I corrected only one which I spotted while just reading various articles about coats of arms, but wasn't ready to fix them all. You however were, and that deserves some positive feedback. Maybe I should give you a barnstar, what do you think? Rayhou (talk) 21:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

No worries, it was only nominated for deletion and looks like it is going to bee kept. I voted for keep just to be sure. Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2008 May 11#Template:Coat of arms of Africa Here you go, please put it on your user page:
The Working Man's Barnstar
I, Rayhou hereby award you this barnstar for your tireless work correcting links to Template:Coat of arms of Africa, Template:Coat of arms of Asia, Template:Coat of arms of North America, Template:Coat of arms of South America and Template:Coat of arms of Oceania in almost every article linking to the templates.
