Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh (Urdu: مظفر گڑھ ) is a town in southwestern Punjab, Pakistan located on the bank of the Chenab River. It is the chief city of Muzaffargarh District.

The district has been settled by following clans and tribes: Khar, Quraishi, Hinjra, Nawabzada, Gormani, Khaitran, Samtia, Aulak, Chandia, Gopang, Syed, Naulatia, Jhakhar, Dasti, Makhdoom, Dogar, Jatoi etc. There also other tribes and clans that have settled since the independence of Pakistan, they include: Mughal, Rana, Rao, Jat, Arain, Muhajir, Awan and many Baloch tribes.

Qalandrani tribe of nearby town Basira are also noteables
