[edit] Welcome!

Hi Mutante23, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

[edit] Youth of Today Edits

As an FYI, I am going to revert the edits you made for the Youth of Today page. I belive the standard wikipedia procedure is to not link a page back to itself, so putting the brackets around Youth of Today is typically not done. Also, I'm going to remove the brackets you put around Shelter because that was already done previously on the page. You typically only link to a page on the first occurance of a term - since Shelter had already been linked to, the second Shelter is usually not done. Gantry 02:43, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yerbamate

I saw that you added the mate userbox to your lineup. Also that you live in Köln and don't have Spanish in your Babel lineup. Since mate is a habit usually only picked up by spending a lot of time around people from the Southern Cone of South America, I'm intrigued as to how you developed the habit, and where the heck you'd go to get loose-leaf in Germany. Wareq

Hey:), actually i do not get loose-leaf in Germany, but i wish i could. What we get and drink here is a soda with Mate extract called "Club Mate" (de.wikipedia Club-Mate, S23Wiki Club_Mate). So the userbox is not really accurate, but it came closest. We would need to create our own box, based on this little icon.:) Mutante23 11:26, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Yuppicide-poster.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Yuppicide-poster.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 23:25, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
