Mutiara Damansara is a new township in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is owned by Mutiara Rini Sdn Bhd. a member of the Boustead Group.

Mutiara Damansara is a 355-acre (1.44 km²) freehold high end residential and commercial development project located in the heart of the most affluent sector of the Klang Valley, which has a gross development value (GDV) of RM1 billion. The township is surrounded by Bandar Utama, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Bandar Sri Damansara and Sunway Damansara. It is arguably one of the most sought-after addresses in the Klang Valley.

As one of the most sought-after housing projects, most of the bungalow houses, semi-detacheds and double storey houses come with 3 phased wiring and concealed drainage. Cabling for telecommunication is also underground. The higher end units come internet and intranet ready and are wired with alarm for security features. The developer has also installed air-conditioning, solar water-heater and automatic gates for some of these units.

Mutiara Damansara enjoys excellent road networks with easy accessibility via Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and via Persiaran Surian. A 100 feet (30 m) spinal road in Mutiara Damansara Link the development via the Bukit Lanjan interchange, to the Sprint expressway’s Penchala Link.

IKEA, the Swedish's furnishing retailer which operates more than 160 stores in 29 countries, and has a work force of 55,000, is the world's largest home furnishing retailer. The new IKEA store in Mutiara Damansara is the largest in Asia with a shop floor area of approximately 270,000 sq ft (25,000 m²). IKEA opened for business in the August 2003 featuring many affordable solutions, with over 7,000 home furnishing products.

The Tesco Group is the largest United Kingdom food retailer with group sales exceeding RM115 billion. Worldwide, Tesco operates 845 stores in 9 countries. The Tesco store in Mutiara Damansara opened in March 2003 and has 25,000 sq ft (2,300 m²). of hypermarket retail space on just one level with smaller retail outlets outside the hypermarket.

The Cathay Group, with which the developer will be working jointly a 200,000 sq ft (20,000 m²). Entertainment Themed mall, will develop the third anchor at the Commercial Precinct of Mutiara Damansara , i.e. Cineleisure Damansara. Cineleisure Damansara will have a 24 lane bowling alley, cineplexes, disco, video arcade and entertainment related retail outlets similar to the Cineleisure Complex in downtown Orchard Road, Singapore.

Amongst the plans for Cineleisure are a 'Day Atrium' and 'Night Atrium', a Tunnel Walk which will transport the shopper into a movie created environment, and other screen related experiences.

THE skyline of Mutiara Damansara in Petaling Jaya North now features a new landmark -- the Royale Bintang Damansara is now open. The 4-star hotel, managed by Mutiara Damansara developer Boustead Properties Bhd, was built at a cost of RM40 million, and has 150 rooms, two meeting rooms, lobby café, poolside barbecue area and a 400-seat banquet room.

Mutiara Damansara offers corporations the opporturnity to build their own 'Icons' in the form of signature corporate offices in a strategic location accessible via the Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP).

With traffic congestion and insufficient parking options in the Kuala Lumpur city center, more and more corporations are relocating their offices to the outer fringes of the city.
