[edit] 2007-08 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that I took the content you added for Duke Blue Devils men's basketball under the current season and created a new article with it: 2007-08 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team. This follows typical wikipedia guidelines and will prevent the generic basketball article from getting too long. Thanks for your contributions to that page and help me expand the new one! Cheers, Bluedog423Talk 03:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] BMW Car Club of America

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article BMW Car Club of America, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Great job referencing the article. I thought about contesting the prod, but there were no references. Royalbroil 02:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dates on Wiki:Project Aviation Articles

Mustang, you may have noticed that your submissions have been reverted and revised many times in the aviation articles in which you have made contributions. Most of the edit revisions have revolved around your use of dates. The conventional dating systems are [day-month-year] or [month-day-year] (known as the popular style) while ISO dating is also used (year-month-date) written in numerical form. Wikiproject:Aviation group has a style guide that is followed for the project and after a great deal of discussion, a consensus was reached that would provide the easiest format for all users. Since foreign readers were unsure of the actual date when an ISO standard was provided, e.g. does 2007-4-11 mean April 11, 2007 or November 4, 2007? and since the formal style, [day-month-year] was unambigious and accepted worldwide, a decision was made to adopt this style and further use the wikilink system to identify the date convention for those users in Wikipedia who have date preferences set for their browsers. The final form was 17 March 2008 which then allowed the browser settings to show the dates in whatever form the user wanted. Please contact me for more information if needed. A good guide to the use of dates is in reviewing an article such as F-117 Nighthawk in edit mode and seeing how dates are expressed, then it's simply a matter of first looking at an article that is developed by editors in the WikiProject:Aviation group and using that format. FWIW, again a welcome! Bzuk (talk) 12:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC).

Mustang, thanks for your note, and I knew that you had a longer history in Wikiwacky land, but I thought it might be presumptuous to just jump into a commentary. I did check to see if anyone had formally welcomed you and when I didn't see one, I thought why not... FWIW Bzuk (talk) 15:09, 17 March 2008 (UTC).
