Changed the description of Ataturk's birth date from "adopted" to "approximate" as the former term is highly misleading, suggesting wrongly that Ataturk was adopted. 86.139.15.170 (talk) 13:33, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Changed some mentions of dates in the "Georgian" [sic] calendar to "Gregorian", as I am 99.9% sure this is an error. 86.139.15.170 (talk) 13:41, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

With respect, it seems that the mention of his drinking only briefly, in the paragraph describing his funeral, is probably making too little of this important aspect of his personal life. It also seems curious that only his pre-marriage romances are mentioned. I wonder if there is a neutral point-of-view issue here? Clearly Ataturk was a remarkable man, but he was also very human, and glossing over these aspects of his life in the interests of painting a more glowing picture of this Turkish hero seems against the goals of Wikipedia. 86.139.15.170 (talk) 13:50, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

    [edit] Private life

Shouldn't we have a paragraph speaking about his presumed homosexuality and alcoolism ? It really seems that he did not hide his lovers who even lived in the same Dolmabahcé Palace where he lived, not far away from his bedroom. Those, very young, were told to be chosen amongst the Armenian or the Jew (Michel Larivière, Homosexuels et bisexuels célèbres, Deletraz Editions, 1997, p.46) not to have problems with the muslims. One of his lovers published a book about Atatuk's homosexuality long time ago. I think it should be fair and honest to evoke this point in the article because it evokes his wife with whom he had no sexual relations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.2.64.149 (talk) 17:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC) What is more : I do not understand why this latter warning (not signed comment) appeared automatically for this discussion article : is this a tabou subject ?
