Talk:Music of Israel/original version

The introduction/history section is poor. It is a confusing discussion and needs to be revised.--jnothman 12:30, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Perhaps reconsider "melting pot." It's a very American term and some countries (e.g., Canada) prefer "mosaic" (preserves its constituent parts), etc. --Dupes 01:50, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
I moved the bit about Goa and Trance style from the History section to the Rock section. Failed to note that on the edit page, sorry.

[edit] External links
After reading Wikipedia:External links and its talk page, I'm removing the link that I added, and restoring the previous order in which the other links were listed. I'm retaining my other changes to de-promotionalize this section: remove bold; standardize placement of descriptions outside of links; and consolidate 2 links for the same domain into one listing. I'm also editing one link's description to de-promotionalize it.
Regarding the link to Israeli Music Net, I find that it appears to be solely to promote the work of one artist or group. I plan to delete it, but will wait a few days to see if there's a contrary opinion.
I'm not sure that any of the other links is substantial enough to belong here, either, but I'll leave that issue to others more familiar with this article topic and the relevant WP guidelines.
