[edit] Bad case of the blues

This article has serious troubles. From looking back through its history, I can see that it started as a short offshoot of Music of the United States. It lacks any historical perspective, as well as any coherent treatment of the different parts of the state. It could use some expert attention, but the attention of any diligent editor would be welcome. Please don't just weigh in with your opinion or write about your favorite group. Make sure you can back it up with good sources.

P.S. A quick look through Music of the United States finds a single reference to Alabama or an Alabama musician: Hank Williams. -- Rob C. alias Alarob 05:24, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I did a quick scan of the article and I agree that it needs attention, but I don't think it's as bad as all the tags would indicate --- either that or we need more tags on every article. I do agree it needs some cleanup, but I'm not that interested in the article at the moment to do it and never have been; it will take some work to beef it up and it deserves it. Maybe I'll get bored and do it sometime soon unless somebody beats me to it.--Bamadude 23:14, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hip Hop

I removed this section because it had no text and was simply a label. Please provide supporting text such as examples of artists producing Hip Hop in Alabama (such as in the Muscle Shoals studios) or provide examples of artists from Alabama producing Hip Hop.
