[edit] Gamma innervation

I was taught that gammer neurons cause the spindle to shorten along with the corresponding extrafusal muscle to accomodate the flexion of this muscle, rather than to sensitize the spindle. My education could be wrong about this, of course, but the page on gamma motor neurons does not mention this sensitization. Bakerstmd 04:28, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
