The "garden" (Jardin des Plantes de Paris) and the "galeries", all expositions of the museum, make up the "historical heart" of the museum. But the museum has other sites in and out of Paris over France (Guide map of the museum sites).

Article rewritten to give history and distinguish the galleries at the Jardin des Plantes from the institution of the Muséum (of which the Jardin is a part). —Tkinias 07:58, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
