Musulman

Musulman (Persian: مسلمان, also rendered as Musalman) is a synonym for Muslim. The term comes from Persian. It is the origin of French word musulman (used for a Muslim)^[1]. In English it has become an archaic usage.

"Musulmán" is also the Spanish translation of "Muslim," as well as the Persian word for "Muslim." In addition to the Persian dialect Dari, it is also found in Kurdish, Pashto, Urdu, Hindi,Bengali,Punjabi, Turkish, Azeri, Maltese and Bosnian.
