Mustapha Tettey Addy

Mustapha Tettey Addy (b. Avenor, Accra, Ghana, 1942) is a Ghanaian drummer and ethnomusicologist. Addy is a member of the Ga ethnic group and is the founder of The Obonu Drummers, which performs the drumming repertoire of royal court of Ghana. He has recorded many albums and has performed extensively in Africa, Europe, and North America.
He founded the Academy of African Music and Arts (AAMA) at Kokrobite beach near Accra in 1988.
