Mustafa Demir

Mustafa Demir (born 1961) is a Turkish politician and the founder and former chairman of Ak Parti (Justice and Development Party) Samsun Province.

He was born the in the Black Sea Region town of Şalpazarı (Ağasar) in Trabzon Province into a family with 9 children. His father Hüseyin Demir was a famous coppersmith nicknamed 'Bakırcı Hüseyin' in the Şalpazarı District. Following his primary and high school education in Trabzon, Mustafa Demir attended 1979 Trabzon Karadeniz Technical University and graduated in 1983 as an Architect.

He started commerce in his high school years. He was busy with copper-aluminium plate & kitchen goods fabrication and wholesaling in these years. He had his military training as a reserve officer - control engineer. He worked in private sector as a decompte definitif[clarify] expert and in public sector as a control engineer. He has been working as a building contractor, arthitect and durable consumer goods tradesman since 1991. In the 29th of September, in 2001, he governed the Ak Party Samsun Province presidential.[clarify] He had been elected as a deputy from Ak Party on the 3rd order in Samsun Province in 2002 Turkey Parliamentary elections.

He was elected as deputy for the second time in the 1st order,[clarify] from Samsum Province in the 22nd July 2007 parliament elections.

He is married and has 5 children.
