Muslim Television Ahmadiyya

MTA (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya) is a satellite TV network, run and funded by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It was first launched as a weekly global broadcast to deliver the friday sermon by the head of the community in London. Officially launched on August 21st, 1992, the channel claimed to be the only pure Islamic TV station in the world.
at present, 2 channels exist:
mta 1, which is directed to asia and europe.
mta 3, which is directed at the middle east, having only arabic language programs.
these are only the ones active at present.
within a short time some planned channels for north america will be released:
mta 1, which is the same as the current one.
mta 3, which is also the same.
mta 1 + 3, which is mta 1 with a delay of 3 hours.
mta info cast, which provides a 24 hour channel guide.
In 1992 the station started its digital service and was available on sky network as a free channel.
