Muslim Educational Trust

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Muslim Educational Trust is a British based organisation offering information, advice and publications about Islam and the educational needs of Muslim children in particular.

It is based at 130 Stroud Green Road, London, N4 3RZ.

Many of the Trust's publications, particularly Islam: Beliefs and Teachings are offered as standard in Religious Education classes across the United Kingdom.

Its director is Ghulam Sarwar, author of the above publication.

Its goal is to "work systematically and concertedly to make Islamic Education a vibrant living reality. The task is stupendous and demands long-term commitment of Islamic educators and scholars. We have made a beginning and we believe, with Allah's guidance and help, we will, insha allah be able to achieve our target, even though not in the short term, but in the long term , Allah Willing..

Our sole aim is to seek the pleasure of the Almighty Allah (Ridaullah) so that He rewards us in the Akhirah by the granting of a place in Al-Jannah (the Paradise, a place of eternal peace, contentment, happiness and bliss)."

Ed Husain writes extensively about this book in his expose of Islamic extremist, The Islamist
