Musica Obscura Editions is a publisher of rare hard-to-find piano music.
Established in 1973 by John Dowd, Musica Obscura Editions has become an institution among classical pianists[citation needed]. Its catalog has grown to include nearly 1000 works[citation needed] by composers such as Henselt, Alkan, Godowsky, Czerny, Rubinstein, Moscheles, Tausig, Busoni, Grainger, Friedmann, Paderewski, Sauer, etc.
Musica Obscura also publishes works by modern day composer-pianists[citation needed].
