[edit] Musica Angelica
Musica Angelica is a Baroque orchestra based in Santa Monica, California.
Founded in 1993 by visionaries Michael Eagan and Mark Chatfield, Musica Angelica is widely accepted as the premiere baroque ensemble in Southern California.
The orchestra performs both the well-known pieces and lesser known "gems" of the baroque and classical eras to offer a truly breathtaking musical experience for young and old. In addition to established repertory, Musica Angelica has premiered over ten works in the new-music genre.
Renowned baroque violinist Elizabeth Blumenstock serves as concertmaster and artistic director of the ensemble.
Martin Haselböck leads the orchestra as its musical director and conductor.
