Music from 'Cal' is an album of music composed by Mark Knopfler for the 1984 film Cal, produced by David Putnam, who also produced the film Local Hero with its best selling Knopfler soundtrack. Title of the album is "music from" rather than "soundtrack", which in this context is a euphemism for the tracks having being edited to give a more coherent music album, rather than just the ambient music used within the context of the movie, and unlike many soundtracks, works well even if you've never seen the film.[1]
Available on LP, cassette, and CD.
